MONROE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A 38-year-old man has been charged after a hit-and-run that left a man critically injured, according to the Monroe Police Department. On Tuesday, Jan. 28, officers arrested Lazaurus Cunningham and charged him with felony hit-and-run causing serious injury or death. The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22, in the 2200 block of W. Roosevelt Road. Police say a vehicle hit the man and fled the scene. NORTH CAROLINA (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles is looking to hire more employees in the name of reducing wait times for drivers.  Queen City News confirmed with DMV officials Tuesday a Charlotte Observer report that the agency aims to hire 61 people, focusing on the Triangle and Charlotte areas. CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Four people are injured after a crash involving a bus in west Charlotte, according to Medic. Just before 7 a.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to the intersection of Little Rock Road and Tuckaseegee Road about a bus crash.
