It is with great sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Sherry A. Brownell, who left this world on June 7, 2025, at the age of 26. Her departure has left a profound void in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Sherry’s life was one full of light, laughter, and love, and her passing has left a community of friends and family grieving the loss of a vibrant and spirited soul.

Sherry was the kind of person who could light up even the darkest days with her infectious laughter and quick wit. She had a natural ability to bring joy to those around her, making even the most mundane moments feel special. Her presence was a gift to all who encountered her, and her energy was contagious. People were drawn to Sherry not only for her warmth but also for her creative spirit, which flourished through her artistic talents and love for music. She inspired many with her passion, imagination, and her ability to see beauty in the world.

Born and raised in Rochester, New York, Sherry’s generosity knew no bounds. She was the type of person who would give her last dollar or the shirt off her back to someone in need. Her kindness wasn’t just extended to her family and close friends, but to everyone she met. Whether it was offering a helping hand or a listening ear, Sherry’s heart was always open, and her compassion for others was boundless. She made a lasting impact on everyone who crossed her path, leaving a legacy of love and selflessness.

A true adventurer at heart, Sherry was always seeking new experiences. Whether it was a spontaneous road trip with friends or a quiet hike through the woods, she embraced life’s adventures with an open heart and a free spirit. She loved exploring new places, chasing breathtaking views, and making memories along the way. Sherry’s thirst for life was unmatched, and she found joy in the simplest of moments, appreciating all the beauty that the world had to offer.

Sherry’s love for animals was also a significant part of who she was. From a young age, she had a deep connection to all living beings, often bringing home wildlife that she found, determined to care for and nurture every creature she encountered. Her compassion for animals reflected the warmth and kindness she carried within her. Whether it was a stray dog or a bird with an injured wing, Sherry’s gentle nature made her a true caretaker at heart.

Sherry is survived by her devoted mother, Stephanie Brownell, and her loving father, Daniel Brownell. She is also survived by her siblings—Bethany Brownell, Phillip Sage, Ashlee, and Daniel J. Brownell—who all cherished her dearly. Sherry’s deep love for her family was evident in everything she did, and her connection to her loved ones was unbreakable. Her beloved niece and nephews will grow up carrying with them the warmth and love Sherry so freely shared. Sherry also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a wide circle of friends who will forever hold her memory close.

Sherry had a unique way of making everyone feel special. Her laughter was infectious, and her spirit unyielding. She had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and loved. Sherry’s love was unconditional, and she shared it so openly and selflessly that everyone who knew her couldn’t help but feel touched by her kindness. She had an uncanny ability to make people feel valued and understood, a gift that made her loved by many.

Though she was taken from us far too soon, Sherry’s legacy lives on in the countless lives she touched. The memories she created with her family, friends, and loved ones will live on in their hearts forever. Her warmth, her love, and her infectious laughter will continue to resonate with everyone who knew her. Sherry’s spirit will never fade; it will live on in the kindness and love she showed to others and in the lives she touched every day.

The world was a better place with Sherry A. Brownell in it, and her absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life, though far too brief, was one of purpose, love, and joy. She made a lasting impact, and her memory will be cherished for years to come. May Sherry rest in eternal peace, and may her family and friends find comfort in the beautiful memories she created and the love she gave so freely.
