His offstage contributions were equally impactful—producing demos for emerging artists and hosting free “Bass Basics” clinics every Saturday, welcoming anyone with “four strings and a pulse.”
Bandmates Duke Carter and Shaz Patel remembered him as their “backbone” and “compass,” someone who could ease tensions with a well-timed joke or a perfectly placed note.
