Officers who were in the area around 2:18 a.m. heard multiple gunshots and discovered the victim, identified as Dee Monte Pernell Chase of Southeast, with gunshot wounds in front of a residence. WASHINGTON, D.C. — A man has been arrested following an attempted burglary at a closed restaurant in the 1800 block of Columbia Road, Northwest, early Saturday morning. At approximately 5:55 a.m., an employee spotted the suspect inside the restaurant and immediately alerted police. As officers arrived on the scene, the suspect tried to escape with restaurant property but was quickly located on the roof of the establishment. The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Samore Samson Buchanan, who has no fixed address, was arrested and charged with Burglary Two.
