Richard William Walker Obituary, Death; – The Asheville Police Department (APD) has confirmed the identity of the motorcycle operator who tragically lost his life in a collision with a tractor-trailer on the evening of Tuesday, February 4. Officers from the APD arrived at the incident location near the 51-mile marker on I-40 East in south Asheville at approximately 8:10 p.m. on that Tuesday. Vernon S Lee II Obituary, Death;- A man from central Virginia lost his life on Tuesday afternoon due to a collision on Interstate 95 in northern Virginia, according to state police. Vernon S. Lee II, 57, from Chester, was fatally injured when his vehicle was struck by a pickup truck shortly after 2:30 p.m. while he was stopped on the right shoulder of the southbound express lanes near the Triangle interchange. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Walmart Inc. confirmed Wednesday it’s closing its Charlotte office and eliminating some roles as the company says it ‘continues efforts to streamline the business.’ Walmart is requesting some office-based employees in Hoboken and employees within some of its smaller offices to relocate to work more closely with teams in Bentonville and Sunnyvale. KENT COUNTY, Mich. — A Lowell woman was killed Tuesday night when she collided with a deer and crashed in Vergennes Township. The crash happened on Vergennes Street around 10:30 p.m., deputies say. The woman was driving a sedan eastbound when she hit the deer and lost control of the vehicle, which left the road and rolled in a wooded area. The woman, identified as 36-year-old Suzanna Cooper, was pronounced dead at the scene. Deputies say she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. HAMILTON, OH — The Hamilton Police Department is actively investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Tuesday morning, leaving 33-year-old Shawn Egner dead. Police responded to reports of shots fired around 5:45 a.m. in the 1100 block of Clovernook Drive, located off Southern Hills Lane near Hamilton Cleves Pike Road (Ohio 128). Upon arrival, officers discovered Egner suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
