MOUNT HOLLY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A Gastonia man has been arrested in connection to a woman found dead in a Mount Holly home Sunday.  According to the Gaston County Police Department, officers conducted a welfare check at 3:30 p.m. at a residence on Mistywood Drive, off of Kelly Road. Upon arrival, they discovered an unresponsive individual, later identified as 28-year-old Carly Bentley, who was pronounced dead at the scene.  The suspect, identified as Michael Lee Wall, 39, reportedly fled when officers arrived but was apprehended following an extended K9 track. According to the police department, officers responded to 1023 Morganton Blvd on Tuesday, Jan. 21 after being alerted of remains found in a wooded area behind the property.
