CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person was injured during an accidental house fire in northwest Charlotte in which there were no smoke detectors inside, according to the Charlotte Fire Department. Around 3 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 1, crews responded to the 4700 block of Woodway Place and saw smoke showing from the front door. It took about 12 minutes for 30 firefighters to control the blaze. Officials say one person was treated for smoke inhalation at the scene. Two residents have been displaced due to the fire causing an estimated $43,000 in damages. CMPD’s Crim Gun Suppression Team and Metro Division detectives worked to identify two suspects and the vehicles that were allegedly involved in the two shootings into occupied dwellings. LINDALE, Texas (KETK) – The price of cocoa, the main ingredient in chocolate, has been on an unsweet price hike for the last two years.
