The fire broke just after 1 a.m. on Wednesday, January 29th at 457 Main Street in Apalachin. The Apalachin Fire Department says when they arrived, they began working to find and rescue Pendergast. Despite life-saving interventions, she passed away from her injuries at the hospital. Kent Reid, 67, of Concord, was last seen around 11 a.m. at the Rider Transit Center in Concord getting onto a bus bound for Charlotte.
