CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One lane on each side of Fairview Road in south Charlotte is closed due to a water main break, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. The closure was reported around 7 a.m. on Tuesday at Carmel Road. Drivers in the area are encouraged to find alternate routes. Officials believe there is also black ice in the area caused by the cold temperatures and the water main break. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Investigators with the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division seized a ‘trafficking amount’ of fentanyl while assisting probation officers with the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections on Friday, Jan. 3 Officials say the seizure occurred at a residence on Hope Road in Vale. Investigators also seized 11 grams of marijuana and $1,939 in US currency.
