In Westmoreland County, four people—two of whom were children—were killed in what investigators believed was a murder-suicide. The victims were discovered at a residence on Keck Lane in Hempfield on Friday morning, according to officials. Paul Swarner, 35; Karen Swarner, 32; Evelyn, 5; and Connor, 1 were the victims identified by state police, who were conducting the investigation in conjunction with the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office.
