It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Don Porterfield, who tragically passed away. His unwavering commitment and service to the community will be appreciated. Brighton Police say they had previous contact with Lawrence Mancuso, the man who, according to officers, killed his daughter, her grandmother, and himself. The murder-suicide happened on Friday just before noon. Police found 11-year-old Anne Mancuso with gunshot wounds on a porch on Hollyvale Drive. She died at the hospital. Inside a home next door, police found the bodies of Lawrence Mancuso, Anne’s father, and 74-year-old Mary Liccini, Anne’s grandmother. KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two men are wanted in connection to a fatal shooting on Monday night, according to the Kannapolis Police Department. Around 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, officers responded to 105 Pine Hill Lane about a shooting. When they arrived, they found 28-year-old Khari Keem Wilkes suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local medical center where he later died, officials said. Police are reportedly looking for two men in connection to the incident.
