LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK) – The Longview Fire Department is searching for the cause of a structure fire that occurred on Friday evening. According to Longview FD, at 10:20 p.m. firefighters responded to a call regarding a structure fire behind a house on Aurel Boulevard.   When firefighters arrived on the scene they reported heavy fire conditions coming from the barn and garage behind the home, but no one was injured. LONGVIEW, Texas (KETK)– Three people are displaced following an attic fire in Longview on Saturday afternoon. According to Longview Fire Department, at around 1:45 p.m. firefighters responded to 115 Electra Street where they found light smoke conditions coming from the eaves of the attic. The department said that crews found a small fire in the cellulose insulations and were able to extinguish it with minimal structural damage in the attic. Aaron Blount Obituary, Death; – The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) has provided an update concerning an incident that took place in mid-January. On Sunday, January 19th, both the Grand Junction Police Department and the MCSO were called to the scene of an assault that resulted in one individual sustaining life-threatening injuries. During the incident, the suspect discharged a firearm at the responding officers, who subsequently returned fire. A few hours later, the suspect was found deceased.
