HOMICIDE — 23-year-old man killed in accidental shooting On 1/30/2025 around 9:55 p.m., Officers responded to a shooting at Terrace Park near 25th and Memorial. When Officers arrived, they found the shooting victim, 23-year-old Dylan Wade, with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. Wade was taken to the hospital and died a short time later. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Davidson residents were able to provide feedback this week on how they envision the town’s station for the proposed Red Line.  Davidson Planning Director Jason Burdette showed three options Thursday for where the CATS commuter rail station would be located, all in the downtown area. CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — The sale of Northlake Mall was approved by a judge Friday. The $39 million sale transitions the troubled shopping area from Spinoso Real Estate Group to Georgia-based Hull Properties, court documents show.
