A 16-year-old boy from Hamlin tragically lost his life in a crash on Roosevelt Highway, west of Drake Road, in the Town of Hamlin on Wednesday. According to the initial investigation, the teen was driving east when, for unknown reasons, the vehicle veered off the road and collided with a utility pole. Authorities believe speed may have played a role in the accident. The teen was the sole occupant of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene.
