(QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two people have been arrested in connection to the largest fentanyl seizure to date in Chester County that had the power to kill more than 800,000 people, according to the Chester County Sheriff’s Office. On Friday, Jan. 31, deputies used a search warrant at a house on Berryhill Road in the Edgemoor community. During the search, they found approximately 1,700 grams (3.7 pounds) of fentanyl, 87 grams of crack cocaine, two pounds of marijuana, 17 firearms, two vehicles, and $91,060 in cash. The person who sadly died after being struck in the parking lot of Weis Market in Lewes on Thursday has been identified as Deborah Priddy, a 63-year-old Milton resident. The incident happened at around 3:30 p.m., according to authorities, when a Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling south in the parking lot at 17232 North Village Main Boulevard. The collision occurred when Priddy was crossing the lot right in front of the Jeep. Priddy was taken to a hospital after the incident, where she passed away from her wounds. The Thurston County Sheriff’s Office and the county coroner have stated that a 65-year-old man died on Saturday afternoon after colliding with a tree on Littlerock Road. Michael L. Uphold was driving in the 16800 block of the road, north of Rochester, around 3:35 p.m. According to Thurston Sheriff’s Sgt. Jeff Dehan, the vehicle overturned and hit with a tree, which then collapsed on top of the vehicle. The exact direction of travel at the moment of the collision remains unknown. Tragically, an ATV accident near Alabaster on Sunday claimed the life of a teenager. Anderson Gutirres, 14, has been confirmed as the deceased by Shelby County Coroner Lina Evans. Authorities said that the young ATV operator lost control of the vehicle. The incident happened on May View Court just before 9:30 a.m. Anderson was unconscious and undergoing CPR when Alabaster police and medical staff arrived. After being quickly taken to Shelby Baptist Medical Center, he was eventually declared deceased. Another juvenile was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure.
