GASTON COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Law enforcement officials are investigating along a Gaston County highway after remains were discovered early Wednesday morning. Gaston County Communications confirms the call came in just after 8:30 a.m. for reports of remains along US 321 near Hardin Road, just outside Dallas. At this time, investigators are working to determine if the remains are human or animal. As of noon, law enforcement remains at the scene. This is a Developing Story. Check back for updates

The crash occurred around 10:45 p.m. on Alabama River Parkway, about two miles east of Prattville.
