According to the Mecklenburg EMS Agency, also known as Medic, the hit-and-run accident happened around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 19, along Randolph Road. They said a vehicle struck the ambulance and fled the scene. Medic confirms there was no patient inside the ambulance at the time of the crash.
