WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man has been arrested in connection with two burglaries and three unlawful entry offenses, following a Metropolitan Police Department investigation. The first incident occurred on April 27, 2024, when a suspect entered a residence in the 3900 block of 1st Street, Southwest, stole property, including car keys, and fled in the victim’s vehicle. WASHINGTON, D.C. – A hit-and-run incident in Southeast D.C. left a man dead Wednesday night, prompting police to search for the driver of the vehicle involved. The crash occurred around 8:58 p.m. in the 2100 block of Minnesota Avenue, Southeast, where a pedestrian was lying in the northbound travel lane. WASHINGTON, D.C. – A man has been arrested in connection with an Unlawful Possession of a Firearm offense following a police investigation in Northeast D.C. On August 28, 2024, officers from the Robbery Suppression Unit were patrolling the 4500 block of Quarles Street, Northeast, when they observed a man exit a suspicious vehicle. When officers attempted to approach him, the man fled, running toward I-295 southbound and jumping from a retaining wall.
