WASHINGTON, D.C. — Police are searching for suspects involved in an armed robbery that took place in Northeast Washington, D.C., on Monday afternoon. At approximately 3:41 p.m., the suspects approached victims in the 5500 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue, Northeast. One of the suspects brandished a firearm, and the victims were assaulted before their property was stolen. The suspects fled the scene following the robbery. AKRON, OH — An Akron woman won $100,000 after playing the Ohio Lottery’s Bingo 50X scratch-off game. The winning ticket was purchased at Get Go #3124, located at 488 Waterloo Road in Akron. PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — An 85-year-old woman has died from injuries sustained in a crash with an on-duty Prince George’s County Police officer in Largo, days after the incident. Jeanette Benthall, a resident of Largo, was driving near the intersection of Campus Way South and Joyceton Drive on September 9 when she collided with the officer’s vehicle around 11:20 a.m., according to police reports. Emergency responders transported both Benthall and the officer to a nearby hospital for treatment. Benthall remained in critical condition before passing away on September 14. WASHINGTON, D.C. — Suspects in a dark Infiniti sedan are being sought on Tuesday in connection with the theft of construction tools from a work van in Northeast D.C.. At approximately 11:00 a.m., the suspects exited the vehicle and broke into the van, which was parked in the 800 block of 7th Street, Northeast. WASHINGTON, D.C. — The D.C. Metro Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in Northeast Washington on Sunday. Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of 50th Street, Northeast, at approximately 8:25 a.m. Upon arrival, police found an adult male victim unconscious in an alley with a gunshot wound. BALTIMORE, MD – A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the August shooting of an 18-year-old in the Eastern District, according to the Baltimore Police Department. Investigators say the victim had arranged to meet Shakur Eldridge on August 11, 2024, in the 1800 block of North Caroline Street to purchase a vehicle Eldridge had advertised on social media.
