PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. — An 85-year-old woman has died from injuries sustained in a crash with an on-duty Prince George’s County Police officer in Largo, days after the incident. Jeanette Benthall, a resident of Largo, was driving near the intersection of Campus Way South and Joyceton Drive on September 9 when she collided with the officer’s vehicle around 11:20 a.m., according to police reports. Emergency responders transported both Benthall and the officer to a nearby hospital for treatment. Benthall remained in critical condition before passing away on September 14. BALTIMORE, MD – A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the August shooting of an 18-year-old in the Eastern District, according to the Baltimore Police Department. Investigators say the victim had arranged to meet Shakur Eldridge on August 11, 2024, in the 1800 block of North Caroline Street to purchase a vehicle Eldridge had advertised on social media.
