WASHINGTON, DC—A significant breakthrough has occurred in a robbery case from early July in Northwest Washington, DC. Angelo Long, 45, who has no fixed address, was arrested on Monday for his involvement in a violent robbery. The incident took place on the evening of Wednesday, July 3, in the 900 block of Randolph Street, where the suspect forcibly stole property from a victim and fled. The victim, who refused medical treatment, had been approached by Long who then executed the robbery. After weeks of investigative work, detectives were able to apprehend Long on charges of Robbery involving Force and Violence.

WASHINGTON, DC—A fatal shooting incident in Southeast resulted in one death and left another person critically injured. D.C. Metro Police Department officers were dispatched just before 2:30 am Tuesday to the 4000 block of South Capitol Street after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, they found two individuals inside an apartment, each with gunshot injuries. The first victim was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition by DC Fire and EMS personnel. The winning ticket was purchased at Amherst Citgo, located at 109 Cleveland Ave. After mandatory state and federal taxes totaling 28 percent, the winner will receive approximately $7,200. BALTIMORE, MD—Two males were arrested in Baltimore’s Western District after a high-stakes vehicle chase on July 15. Members of Foxtrot were tracking a stolen vehicle traveling through the area. Patrol officers joined the pursuit and attempted to stop the vehicle, which ultimately collided with a patrol car and crashed. The stolen vehicle’s occupants then attempted to escape on foot. Police successfully apprehended a 24-year-old male and a 20-year-old male shortly after. During the incident, officers recovered two loaded handguns. Both suspects now face charges and will be processed at the Central Booking Intake Facility.

BALTIMORE, MD—Baltimore police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 23-year-old D’Onikah Bailey, who was last seen running from a hospital. D’Onikah disappeared from the 2400 block of West Belvedere Avenue and was last spotted wearing a hospital gown and white shoes. Police did not elaborate on the circumstances of this incident. She is described as 5’0″ tall and weighing about 100 lbs. Anyone with information on D’Onikah Bailey’s whereabouts is urged to contact authorities immediately by calling 911.

WASHINGTON, DC—Local authorities are urgently requesting public assistance in locating 14-year-old Khaliq Alexander, who was last seen in the 400 block of South Capitol Terrace, Southwest D.C., on Sunday at 11 AM. Khaliq, described as a black male, is approximately 5’10” tall and weighs about 130 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, Khaliq was wearing a white T-shirt and pants that were either black, gray, or black and gray. MOUNT RAINIER, MD — A man has been charged in the fatal stabbing of 51-year-old Julio Lopez Cosme of Arlington, VA, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday in Mount Rainier. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Davon Henderson from Mount Rainier, is facing first-degree murder among other related charges. The incident was reported on July 14th at around 12:40 am. Responding officers from the Mount Rainier Police Department arrived at the 3700 block of 33rd Street to find Cosme outside with a fatal stab wound and pronounced him dead at the scene. DUNDALK, MD — A tragic collision involving a motorcycle and a Jeep has led to the death of 35-year-old motorcyclist Joshua Bernert.
