The city resident purchased the $10 instant ticket at a 7-Eleven located at 3003 North Charles Street in Baltimore. He scratched off the ticket in the store, revealing a “Lucky 7” symbol on the last line, which led to the $100,000 win. Accompanied by his wife to claim the prize, the restaurant worker initially believed he had won $10,000. However, the store ticket checker confirmed the prize was indeed $100,000. WASHINGTON, D.C. — Three suspects have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Northwest Washington, D.C. On Sunday, at approximately 1:25 a.m., four armed suspects exited a vehicle and approached two victims walking in the 2100 block of 8th Street, Northwest. The suspects took property from the victims and fled the scene in the vehicle. Third District officers, provided with a description of the suspects’ vehicle, located and arrested three of the four suspects. BALTIMORE, Md. – Authorities are investigating a shooting in the Northern District that occurred late on July 17. At approximately 11:39 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 3200 block of Greenmount Avenue. They found a 62-year-old male with apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Northern District detectives are asking anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2455 or Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
BALTIMORE, Md. – Authorities have arrested Christopher Holland, 24, of Baltimore, in connection with a shooting that took place in the Southern District on July 10. Detectives determined that Holland shot a 26-year-old male victim multiple times after breaking into a home in the 1200 block of Sargeant Street. The motive for the shooting is believed to be domestic-related. On July 16, Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested Holland and transported him to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged with attempted first-degree murder. PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. – A man from Bowie has died following a two-vehicle crash in Prince George’s County on Thursday afternoon. At approximately 1:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of Central Avenue and Bright Seat Road in Seat Pleasant. They found 69-year-old Zachery Cummings suffering from trauma injuries. Cummings was transported to the hospital, where he later died. The driver of the second vehicle was luckily not injured. The crash, which occurred in the westbound lanes of Central Avenue, remains under investigation. WASHINGTON, D.C. – Authorities are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in Northwest D.C. on Thursday. Officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 2000 block of Bryant Street in Northeast, D.C., at approximately 3:30 p.m. Upon arrival, they found 26-year-old Hassan Kamara Jr. of Takoma Park, Maryland, who had been shot. Washington, D.C. – Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with multiple thefts from Lululemon stores in Northwest, D.C. Early Friday morning, Third District nightlife officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description of one involved in several retail thefts. During the stop, the officers identified the driver as 23-year-old Avante Demarco Greene of Northwest, who matched the description of a suspect in the thefts. Washington, D.C. – Police are requesting community help to identify two suspects involved in a Chinatown shooting. On Wednesday at approximately 8:37 p.m., officers responded to a shooting report in an alley near the 600 block of H Street, Northwest. An adult male victim was found with a gunshot wound and taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation revealed that a dispute between the suspects and the victim preceded the shooting. Nearby surveillance cameras captured images of the suspects. Washington, D.C. – Police have arrested two more teenagers in connection with the murder of a man in Northwest, D.C. On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at approximately 12:54 a.m., officers responded to the 6200 block of Georgia Avenue, Northwest, for a report of a man down. Upon arrival, officers found 64-year-old Reggie Brown of Northwest, DC, who had suffered trauma consistent with an assault and was pronounced dead at the scene.
