BALTIMORE, Md. — Early Sunday morning, Southeast District officers arrested a suspect following an armed robbery reported by two individuals. At approximately 1:16 a.m. on July 28, officers on patrol were flagged down by a male and female who stated they had been robbed at gunpoint by unidentified individuals. Officers quickly canvassed the area and apprehended a 21-year-old male suspect in the 3700 block of Bank Street. The suspect was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility for processing.
BALTIMORE, Md. — Late Saturday night, Central District officers apprehended a suspect driving a stolen vehicle through the Fells Point area. At approximately 11:23 p.m. on July 27, officers alerted Foxtrot members about the stolen vehicle. When officers attempted a vehicle stop, the driver refused to comply, leading to a pursuit. The driver eventually abandoned the vehicle and attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by officers. The 24-year-old male suspect was transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was charged accordingly.
BALTIMORE, Md. — On the evening of July 28, Western District detectives conducted a vehicle stop in the 2800 block of Edmondson Avenue, leading to the arrest of two individuals. At approximately 8:09 p.m., detectives stopped the vehicle and discovered the driver was wanted on an active warrant. During the investigation, officers seized a loaded handgun from the vehicle, which had been reported stolen in Baltimore City. The driver, a 32-year-old male, and the passenger, a 32-year-old female, were arrested and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where they were charged accordingly.

At approximately 8:25 p.m. on July 28, officers arrived to find a 48-year-old man with a gunshot wound. The victim is currently listed in stable condition. STERLING, Va. — In a tragic incident on Sunday morning, a Maryland woman lost her life after being run over by her own car during a carjacking in Sterling, Virginia. The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office reported the incident occurred in the area of 21000 Towncenter Plaza. Deputies arrived at the scene to discover Melody Waldecker, 54, from Silver Spring, had been fatally injured. Authorities revealed that Waldecker was struck as the carjacker attempted to escape with her vehicle.
