BALTIMORE, MD — On August 6, at approximately 11:50 p.m., members of the Western District Action Team conducted a crime suppression operation that led to the arrest of a 41-year-old male in the 1700 block of North Calhoun Street. During the investigation, officers recovered a Smith and Wesson SD40 handgun along with ammunition. The suspect was taken to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he was formally charged.

BALTIMORE, MD — Baltimore police have arrested 20-year-old Davonte Hamlett in connection with a homicide that occurred in the Northern District on May 5th. Investigators determined that Hamlett fatally shot 25-year-old Sherman Anderson and injured a 26-year-old man in the 3300 block of Reisterstown Road. Officers responding to the scene at approximately 12:24 a.m. found both victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Anderson later succumbed to his injuries.
