ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Alexandria police officers shot and killed a man allegedly armed with a gun late Monday night. The Alexandria Police Department reported that officers responded to a call just after 10:45 p.m. in the 5100 block of Maris Avenue, near the Parkside at Alexandria condominium complex. Upon arrival, officers encountered a man in a stairwell who was reportedly holding a gun. According to police, officers then shot the man, who died at the scene. BALTIMORE, Md. — Baltimore City Crime Gun Intelligence, with assistance from Southwest District Detectives and Foxtrot, made an arrest leading to the recovery of a firearm on August 11 around midnight. The arrest took place in the 800 block of W Lexington Street. Authorities successfully recovered a Glock 19 9mm firearm during the operation.
