Jean Pierre Velasco was indicted by a Montgomery County grand jury on multiple charges, including two counts of negligent manslaughter by car, two counts of homicide by car while under the influence of alcohol, and two counts of homicide by car while under the influence of alcohol. WASHINGTON, D.C. — A suspect has been arrested in connection with a robbery that took place on Tuesday, August 13, in Northeast D.C. At approximately 8:34 a.m., a victim reported being approached from behind in the 600 block of Rhode Island Avenue, Northeast, where the suspect snatched her cellphone and fled on foot. Fifth District officers responded quickly, sharing the suspect’s description and locating him nearby. Following an investigation, 19-year-old Christian Pickney of Northeast was arrested and charged with robbery.
