UTICA, N.Y., — The Utica Police Department is currently investigating two separate incidents of shots fired that occurred over the weekend in different areas of the city. Both incidents involved bullets striking residences, though no injuries have been reported. BALTIMORE, Md. — A 31-year-old man was arrested in Southwest Baltimore after police seized a loaded handgun and controlled dangerous substances (CDS) during an investigation on August 19. Southwest District Action Team officers were conducting an investigation in the 1600 block of McHenry Street around 1:40 p.m. when they apprehended the suspect. A search led to the discovery of the illegal firearm and drugs. The suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility, where he has been charged with multiple offenses related to the handgun and CDS.

BALTIMORE, Md. — A man has been arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter following the death of a 74-year-old man who was assaulted in Baltimore’s Central District last week. On August 19, police apprehended 43-year-old Timothy Clinedinst in Dundalk, Baltimore County, in connection with the August 17 assault of David Philpot. The incident occurred in the 1700 block of Eastern Avenue, where Clinedinst allegedly attacked Philpot, leaving him with serious injuries.
