WASHINGTON, D.C.— A woman was hospitalized after being shot in Southeast Washington on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred just before 12:30 p.m. in the 4500 block of Texas Avenue. Upon arriving at the scene, police found the woman conscious and breathing despite her gunshot wound. She was transported to the hospital for treatment, though her condition remains unknown as of Wednesday afternoon.
