BOSTON, Mass. — A 73-year-old Cambridge man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that took place Tuesday evening on Blue Hill Avenue in Dorchester, according to the Boston Police Department. Officers from District B-3 (Mattapan) responded to a call around 7:34 p.m. on October 1, 2024, and found a 57-year-old man suffering from non-life-threatening stab wounds at 895 Blue Hill Ave. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is reported to be in stable condition. LIMA, Ohio — Amanda Hovanec, 37, was sentenced to 40 years in federal prison on Tuesday for the 2022 murder of her ex-husband, Timothy Hovanec, amid a bitter custody dispute. A brown female pit bull was found near French Road and Laurel Place, and a grey male pit bull was located on the 1000 block of Broad Street. WINDSOR MILL, Md. — Authorities are asking for the public’s help in locating 14-year-old Dayiona Crystal Petersen, who was last seen at 8:30 a.m. on October 2 in the Windsor Mill area. Petersen is described as 4’9″ tall, weighing 95 lbs., and was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt with the word “Brooklyn” on it, a pink Nike backpack, and black and white shoes. PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Teige Harden, 34, of Pittsfield, was arrested on Friday, September 27, following a domestic incident that led to numerous serious charges, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and drug trafficking. ABERDEEN, N.J. — A 58-year-old woman has died from injuries sustained in a pedestrian crash earlier this month, according to the Aberdeen Township Police Department. Judith Fox-Hernandez, of Aberdeen, was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and 2nd Street on September 4, 2024. Police responded to the scene around 7:24 p.m. and found Fox-Hernandez in the roadway. She was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center, where she remained under treatment until succumbing to her injuries on September 29.
