Wilkes-Barre, PA – Wilkes-Barre City Police Department announced they arrested a 38-year-old Wilkes-Barre resident on Tuesday morning for possession of a controlled substance following an active warrant. The incident occurred on South Main Street when officers on patrol observed Michael Moore standing outside a business. The officers, aware of an active warrant issued against Moore by the department, approached him. Following a search, they discovered suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia on his person. Wilkes-Barre, PA- An incident of criminal mischief occurred on North River Street in Wilkes-Barre, according to a report by the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department. The event transpired at 1:07 AM on Wednesday, October 2nd. Police officers were dispatched to 575 North River Street following a report. On arrival, they spoke with the victim, a 57-year-old woman from Clarks Summit, PA. The victim reported that an unknown suspect had damaged her vehicle. BOSTON, MA- A man was arrested by the Drug Control Unit of District B-2 (Roxbury) in Boston on drug charges following an operation on Tuesday. At approximately 1:19 PM, officers took Jaylin Hawkins, 29, of Boston, into custody. The arrest stemmed from officers patrolling Roxbury Street and Washington Street to tackle community concerns of illegal drug activity. The officers witnessed an exchange between two individuals, suspecting it to be a drug transaction. WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Wilkes-Barre City Police were involved in an incident of public intoxication early Wednesday morning. On the early hours of Wednesday at 1:29 a.m., officers were patrolling the 500 block of Blackman Street when they observed 54-year-old John Wolfe of Wilkes-Barre, PA, standing in the middle of the roadway. Wolfe appeared to be manifestly under the influence of an alcoholic beverage, posing a danger to himself. Authorities quickly took Wolfe into custody due to his condition. Cumberland, MD – The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Maryland State Police – Barrack C, has initiated a campaign to address open and active warrants, resulting in the apprehension of several individuals. WILKES-BARRE, PA – Police responded to a reported theft on South Washington Street on Tuesday, October 1st at 8:00 AM. The incident involved a 61-year-old man from Sugarloaf, PA, and led to the arrest of Paul Woychio, 53, of Wilkes-Barre, PA. The victim stated he was charging his cellular phone inside a business on South Washington Street. He stepped outside to smoke a cigarette and returned to find his phone and charger missing. COLUMBUS, OH – Columbus Division of Police has requested assistance from the public in identifying two individuals who were in the vicinity of a homicide. The incident occurred on Tuesday at approximately 7:04 p.m. Officers responded to a Shotspotter alert on the 2200 block of Parkwood Ave. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult victim, Corey Meade, suffering from a gunshot wound. Paige, 36, of West Stockbridge, was arraigned on Tuesday, October 1, in Southern Berkshire District Court in connection with a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred on September 28 in Stockbridge. Paige was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury resulting in death following the crash that claimed the life of 72-year-old Franklin Ripley of Stockbridge.
