New York, NY – On Sunday at approximately 4:13 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting an assault near West 165th Street and Riverside Drive within the confines of the 33 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers were informed by witnesses that a 22-year-old male pushed a 44-year-old female, identified as Vianel Garcia of 63 East 115th Street, down a grass embankment in a park, causing serious injuries. The suspect was taken into custody at the scene. EMS transported Garcia to NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, where she was subsequently pronounced deceased. The investigation is ongoing.
Bronx, NY – On Sunday, at approximately 3:31 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting two males stabbed near 2155 Grand Concourse, within the 46 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers found a 34-year-old male with a stab wound to the chest and a 31-year-old male with a stab wound to his torso. EMS transported both men to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where the 34-year-old male was later pronounced deceased. The investigation is ongoing. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending proper family notification.
Clairton, PA – The Allegheny County Police Department’s Homicide Unit is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Friday. At 10:22 p.m., County 9-1-1 received a report of a shooting in the 900 block of Madison Avenue. First responders arrived at the scene and found an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds. Uniontown, PA – More than a year after a 14-year-old boy allegedly shot and killed Anthony Jones, prosecutors have announced a criminal case against Calvin Jay Huffman, 38, the suspected mastermind behind the crime. Huffman is accused of hiring Antonyo Owens, then 14, to murder Jones in a plot motivated by revenge and partially funded by drugs.
