Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo Onofri stated that police were called to the scene of an overturned vehicle at the intersection of Garfield and Farragut avenues at around 10:20 PM on July 12th. Platkin announced that the Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) has filed an Order to Show Cause (OTSC) to indefinitely suspend the liquor licenses of four Trenton establishments owned by Gerald Araya. VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) is investigating a fatal accident involving a bicyclist that occurred on General Booth Blvd. Officers responded to the 900 block of General Booth Blvd. at 11:12 p.m. on Saturday for a reported accident involving a bicycle. Upon arrival, officers found a vehicle and a bicyclist, identified as 34-year-old Christopher Malik of Pennsylvania. First responders provided immediate aid to Malik, but he succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the vehicle remained on site and cooperated with investigators. No charges have been filed at this time.
