ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — A 5-year-old child was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle on Friday evening, according to the Atlantic City Police Department. The incident occurred around 5:48 p.m. on October 4, in the 2600 block of Fairmount Avenue. Police say the child was hit by the vehicle and sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The Baltimore Police Department reported that officers responded to a call at around 9:43 p.m. on October 5, to the 1800 block of East Belvedere Avenue, where a woman said two males had carjacked her at gunpoint.
