YANCEY COUNTY, N.C. — Nine people have been confirmed dead in Yancey County following the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene, local officials reported on Saturday. Recovery teams are still searching for five individuals who remain missing in the aftermath of the storm. The bodies were recovered as rescue operations continue across the region, where widespread flooding and destruction have made access difficult. Local law enforcement is working in coordination with federal agencies and volunteers in the ongoing search efforts. “Our thoughts are with the families affected by this devastating loss,” officials said in a statement. Teams are using heavy machinery…
ALLENDALE, N.J. — Two police officers were injured when a suspected drunk driver rear-ended an Allendale police vehicle, triggering a four-car chain-reaction crash on Sunday night, authorities said. Both officers were seriously injured in the collision, according to local officials. The incident occurred during a routine traffic stop when the SUV driver, believed to be intoxicated, crashed into the police car. The impact caused a series of crashes involving three additional vehicles. Latka…
Wow, looks like things are really heating up in Amsterdam, New York! Mayor Mike Cinquanti, a Democrat, recently called for public art submissions to brighten up the city’s skyline, but things took a twist when Sticker Mule CEO Anthony Constantino revealed his contribution: a “Vote for Trump” sign. What started as an effort to bring creativity to the streets now feels more like a political battleground. Cinquanti’s call for art clashed head-on with Constantino’s pro-Trump message, leading to claims of censorship and threats of jail time if the sign stays up. Mayor Mike Cinquanti “Local politicians are doing everything they…

Former President Donald Trump has criticized the Biden administration, specifically targeting Vice President Kamala Harris, for what he describes as a slow and inadequate response to relief efforts in North Carolina following recent natural disasters. In his usual style, Trump accused Harris and President Joe Biden of prioritizing “illegal migrants” over American citizens, claiming that a significant portion of Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) resources is being diverted away from North Carolina. He also alleged that the administration is sending billions in aid to foreign countries while neglecting the state’s recovery efforts. Trump’s remarks highlight his ongoing strategy of positioning…
Vuokkoset’s Tampon for Men campaign, launched during Transgender Awareness Week, is a bold step toward reshaping the narrative around menstruation. The campaign seeks to challenge the deep-rooted association of periods with womanhood, an outdated belief that fails to acknowledge the diversity of those who menstruate. For transgender men and non-binary individuals, periods can be a source of gender dysphoria—a feeling of distress that arises from the mismatch between their gender identity and the sex they were assigned at birth. This distress is exacerbated by societal norms that associate menstrual products and periods exclusively with women, making an already difficult experience…
TENAFLY, NJ – A year after the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks, the Biden administration, led by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, has struggled to secure the release of seven American hostages held in Gaza. For some of them, it’s too late for America to act as they have been murdered by the terrorist group. Despite diplomatic efforts, including collaboration with international allies and backchannel negotiations, the U.S. government has been unable to bring these citizens home. President Biden has faced mounting criticism for his administration’s inability to exert sufficient pressure on Hamas and its backers, including…
On the anniversary of the October 7, 2023, terrorist attacks on Israel by Hamas, a wave of protests and rallies is planned across the U.S. and worldwide. Some of these protests are being organized by far-left groups, who view the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict through a pro-Palestinian lens, and in certain instances, express support for Hamas despite its designation as a terrorist organization. These protests are expected to clash with pro-Israel demonstrations, as emotions remain intense on both sides. In the original attack a year ago, Hamas militants killed over 1,200 Israelis and took more than 200 hostages. Currently, several hostages,…
Let’s not sugarcoat it: Howard Stern built a career out of mocking Black people, and now he’s trying to play serious interviewer with a Black presidential candidate. The man who once paraded around in blackface, used the N-word like it was a punchline, and leaned into every offensive stereotype you can imagine is sitting across from someone who represents the future of Black leadership in America. Yeah, that’s real. Stern’s history isn’t something you can just gloss over or brush under the rug. We’re talking about a guy who thought it was entertaining to mock Black culture on national television. The time…
