Largo, MD – The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit is investigating a fatal collision involving an on-duty PGPD patrol officer and 85-year-old Jeanette Benthall of Largo. The accident occurred on September 9 at approximately 11:20 a.m. at the intersection of Campus Way South and Joyceton Drive. Both drivers were transported to the hospital, where Benthall succumbed to her injuries five days later. The patrol officer has been released from the hospital. Pasadena, MD – Anne Arundel County Police are investigating a hit-and-run incident on Tuesday that injured two juveniles. At approximately 11:00 a.m., police responded to the intersection of Outing Avenue and East Shore Road where two juveniles were struck by a white Nissan Pathfinder occupied by three males. One of the juveniles was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and the other was taken to an area hospital by an associate prior to police arrival, also with non-life-threatening injuries. Queens, NY – Keyah Richardson has been indicted by a grand jury and arraigned on charges including attempted murder in the first degree, assault, and other crimes. The indictment follows allegations that Richardson rammed a stolen car into an NYPD officer investigating the theft and nearly struck a grandfather and his granddaughter in Corona. Frederick, MD – Potomac Edison will upgrade the underground electrical system near the Court Street Parking Garage on Thursday. Harrisburg, PA -Attorney General Michelle Henry’s office has filed a lawsuit against Digital Dream Labs. The robotics and educational-technology company is accused of failing to fulfill orders, issue refunds, or respond to consumer requests. Since November 2020, the company marketed several in-home companion robots: Vector 2.0, Cozmo 2.0, and the Butter Robot. According to the lawsuit, approximately 14,000 orders for these robots were placed between November 2020 and January 2024, most of which were not fulfilled.
