BRICK, NJ — Chief David Forrester of the Brick Township Police announced the arrest of local resident Todd M. Lansing on charges related to several burglaries in the area. The 46-year-old was apprehended on July 2 and now faces two counts of attempted burglary, one count of burglary, three counts of criminal mischief, two counts of possession of burglary tools, and one count of theft.
This series of charges arose from a comprehensive investigation that started in March after multiple commercial burglaries were reported across Ocean and Monmouth Counties. The Brick Township Police Street Crimes Unit collaborated closely with the Point Pleasant Borough Police Department and the Brielle Police Department, leading to Lansing’s arrest.
Lansing has been processed and is currently being held at Ocean County Jail. It is important to remember that these charges are merely accusations, and Lansing is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The public and press are reminded of this presumption of innocence throughout the legal proceedings.
