NYC Suicide – Death; Undisclosed Man Jumps to Death From Vornado Skyscraper Near Penn Station
According to authorities, a 26-year-old man died Monday after falling from a skyscraper in Midtown Manhattan close to Penn Station. Around 3 p.m., police were summoned to One Penn Plaza, located on 34th St. close to Seventh Ave., where they discovered the man laying on the pavement. When the police and emergency personnel arrived on the site, he had already passed away.
Although the precise cause of his death will be ascertained by the city’s medical examiner’s office, his injuries seemed to be compatible with a significant fall. The way the man fell from the structure was not immediately apparent. On Monday night, police were still looking into the event. The 57-story skyscraper is located between Seventh and Eighth Aves. and W. 33rd St. and 34th St.
