WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Some potholes are filled after several Department of Public Works (DPW) crews in Luzerne County got to take advantage of Tuesday’s warmer temperatures.
28/22 News caught up with workers near Coal Street Park in Wilkes-Barre as they were patching up nearby potholes.
They have been out doing temporary fillings since mid-January until it officially gets nicer out to do the permanent fix, something they say they have to do a bit of catching up on.
“The winter impacted us a lot this year, a lot worse than previous years that we’ve been doing this, and we’re getting there, we just have so many holes to fill but one day at a time, we can only do so many at a time, there’s only two of us,” said Wilkes-Barre DPW Pothole Crew member Aj Yelland.
