NOYES TOWNSHIP, CLINTON COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Detectives say they have officially charged a man for allegedly shooting and killing his neighbor’s dog.
On December 16, 2024, Pennsylvania State Police were called to Clendenon Street in Noyes Township, Clinton County for an animal cruelty complaint.
The victim stated that he let his dog, an 11-year-old yellow Labrador Retriever, out and the dog never returned. A search for the dog led the victim to a neighboring property owned by Robert Wallish, who lives in Hummelstown.
Investigators said Wallish is believed to have used the Noyes Township property as a hunting cabin. On Wallish’s property, the victim claimed he discovered blood, dog hair, and other biological matter.
State police executed several search warrants in Clinton and Dauphin County. Then on December 17, the dog was found dead around 150 miles away from the scene where it is believed to have been killed by a gunshot wound to its neck, officials reported.
The biological matter recovered from Wallish’s property in Clinton County was taken to East Stroudsburg University lab along with a sample from the victim’s deceased dog for DNA analysis.
The biological matter and the sample from the victim’s dog were a positive match.
On February 20, Wallish was charged with aggravated cruelty to animals, tampering with evidence, and abuse of a corpse.
