Baltimore, MD – Baltimore Police have made an arrest in connection with a fatal stabbing that occurred on July 10, 2024, aboard a Mass Transit bus in the Northeast District. 18-year-old Brandon Lee Adams Jr. of Baltimore has been charged with first-degree murder following the death of 14-year-old Cortez Lemon.
The incident unfolded during an altercation on a bus traveling through the 4200 block of Frankford Avenue. Adams is accused of fatally stabbing Lemon. Responding officers arrived at the scene shortly after the incident, where they found Lemon suffering from life-threatening stab wounds in the 5400 block of Belair Road. Despite immediate medical attention, Lemon was pronounced dead at a local hospital.
Adams was apprehended a short distance away, in the 5300 block of Belair Road, and was promptly transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility. The case has drawn significant attention, highlighting concerns over safety on public transportation.
