Leashan McBeath Obituary, Death;- A man succumbed to his injuries on Thursday following a stabbing and robbery incident near the Charlotte transit center in Uptown, according to police reports.
The incident occurred around 1 p.m. on February 20, involving a 21-year-old man named Leashan McBeath, who was attacked on East Trade Street, situated across from the Spectrum Center in Charlotte. The assailants not only stabbed McBeath but also took money from him, as reported by law enforcement.
Emergency medical personnel transported McBeath to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead a few hours later. The exact number of stab wounds he sustained remains unclear. Police reports indicate that at least three individuals are considered suspects in the stabbing. However, the amount of money taken from McBeath could not be determined from the surveillance footage, according to the report.
McBeath’s death has been classified as a homicide, and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. As of Friday, no potential suspects had been publicly identified.
