Her journey was marked by kindness, dedication, and a spirit that touched everyone she encountered.
Jessica was the beloved daughter of Chris and Kim Sauers. She was preceded in death by her father, Randy Paul of Sheridan, Wyoming, as well as her cherished grandparents, Richard and Geri Martinsen, and Jack and Mary Paul. The legacy of love she leaves behind is a testament to the deep bonds she cultivated with her family and friends throughout her life. Her warmth and generosity created a ripple effect of kindness that will be remembered by all who knew her.
After graduating from Hazleton High School, Jessica’s life was dedicated to service and helping those in need. Her passion for making a difference manifested in many meaningful ways. She was a firefighter and served as a trustee for the Harwood Fire Company, where she demonstrated courage and a steadfast commitment to community safety. Jessica also worked as an ambulance technician and devoted much of her time caring for the elderly, offering comfort and companionship to those in need. Her heart was as vast as her ambitions; she found fulfillment in small acts of kindness—whether providing aid, lending a listening ear, or simply offering a warm smile—that made a profound impact on the lives she touched.
Above all, Jessica cherished her role as a mother. Her two beloved children, Wyatt and Isabella Petrill, were the light of her life. She took immense pride in being their mother, guiding them with love, patience, and unwavering support. Jessica’s zest for life and her belief in the power of love and kindness served as an inspiration to her children, instilling in them her values of compassion and resilience.
Jessica is survived by her husband, Jim Lockwood, whose love and partnership she cherished deeply. She is also survived by her sisters, Jennifer Youells (William) and Lindsey Keller (Dennis), along with numerous nieces and nephews. Her family shared countless treasured moments with her, and they will forever hold her close in their hearts. Her legacy of love and service will continue to inspire her loved ones and all who knew her.

Her funeral will be held with a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Harman Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc. (East), located at 669 West Butler Drive, Drums. Interment will be private and at the family’s convenience. We invite all who knew her to come and honor her memory, sharing stories and celebrating the beautiful life she lived.
