LEWISBURG, UNION COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — A new medical marijuana dispensary is hosting its grand opening Thursday, February 20 in Lewisburg.
Terrapin is an independent grower/processor of medical marijuana and will open the Terrapin Care Station. The dispensary has already begun serving patients but will host a grand opening on February 20.
Terrapin was one of the first to take advantage of a law signed by Governor Josh Shapiro that allows qualified independent Medical Marijuana Operations to open up to three dispensaries.
The Lewisburg location will be the second location, Terrapin also has a Bellefonte dispensary.
In addition, another location is set to open up in Lock Haven later in 2025. All together the three locations will hire approximately 43 employees.
