Jeffrey Gamble Obituary, Death; – On Tuesday, Marquan Brice, an 18-year-old, was formally charged in a Kent County courtroom regarding the fatal shooting of 36-year-old Jeffrey Gamble. Gamble was fatally shot on Sunday, February 16, at the Camelot Manor Mobile Home Community located in Byron Township.
Deputies from the Kent County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting at the mobile home community and discovered Gamble still alive. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a nearby hospital.
Brice was apprehended on the same day while attempting to flee the scene. He faces charges including one count of Homicide Open Murder Statutory and two counts of Felony Firearm.
Following his arraignment on Tuesday, Brice’s next court appearance will be a probable cause conference, which is set for February 26. Additionally, he is scheduled for a preliminary examination on March 5.
