CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — As the Trump administration continues its mass deportation efforts across the nation, South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson is urging the state’s sheriffs to cooperate with ICE agents on operations held in the state.
Attorney General Wilson sent a letter to sheriffs across the state asking them to enroll in a program that voluntarily partners with ICE to allow immigration operations to take place in their jurisdiction.
On Wednesday, he spoke with Queen City News on why he’s encouraging the cooperation and what this means legally for deputies.
