GLADEWATER, Texas (KETK) — Gladewater ISD’s head football coach and athletic director announced on Tuesday morning he has resigned.
Coach Jonny Louvier, who has been head football coach since 2020, has now accepted a position with TeamFunded that helps organizations reach their fundraising needs.
“I will forever be grateful for my time here,” Louvier said. “I grew up a Bear and am very excited for my kids to do the same, but at this time in my life I want to do it as a community member who supports and helps Gladewater ISD.”
The district said they will miss Louvier and they wish him the best in the next chapter of his life. At this time, Coach Jermaine Lewis will serve as interim AD as the search for Louvier’s replacement begins.
“I know this job will be very attractive, and [Superintendent Rae Ann Patty] as well as the school board’s support for athletics will ensure the next person is the best option for the kids of Gladewater,” Louvier said.
