CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two more suspects have been arrested and charged in connection to a 17-year-old’s death in August 2024, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
Just after 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024, officers responded to the 14000 block of Wynhollow Downs Lane for a welfare check. They found 17-year-old Aryan Jaswal shot dead inside a vehicle.
In October 2024, police charged a 16-year-old juvenile from Conway, SC in connection to the teen’s death. The teen was charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
In collaboration with several agencies in South Carolina, on Jan. 17, CMPD’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team arrested 20-year-old Jaylon Reaves of Mullins, SC and 18-year-old Tyquan Paige of Horry County, SC.
Both suspects were also charged with murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
CMPD detectives traveled to South Carolina to arrest and interview the suspects. Both suspects are now pending extradition.
