(PINPOINT WEATHER) — After another day of mild afternoon temperatures and sunshine, the clouds move in overnight to set up a wet weekend.
Saturday will start off wet as spotty showers linger early in the day. We can see a few spotty showers through the afternoon as temperatures start in the upper 30s and peak in the low 50s.
Cloudy skies will linger as a low-pressure system tracks south of the Queen City on Sunday. This will keep rain chances in the forecast for Sunday morning as 50s finish off the weekend. We can see the potential for a bit of a wintry mix and snow for our higher elevations and western facing slopes this weekend as well.
Following a wet-and-cool weekend, we’ll get an arctic blast infiltrates the entire country. Temperatures will plummet as highs sit in the 30s and lows dip into the teens overnight. Mountains will only hit the teens and fall into the single digits overnight.
Next week brings the coldest temperatures of this year with lows in teens — and single-digits in the mountains.
