ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Alexander County officials are conducting a death investigation after finding human remains.
On Jan. 13, around 5:49 p.m., two local duck hunters located the remains in a wooded area around the 1600 block of Highway 16 North in Taylorsville.
North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations is assisting the sheriff’s office in processing the scene.
At this time, the identity of the remains is unknown.
