The sad truth about using real John Beasley’s tragic story for clickbait!
While the current posts circulating online about John Beasley are a hoax, the real incident took place years ago. John Stewart Beasley was a dedicated officer with the Baytown Police Department in Texas for 23 years.
His colleagues remember him as a fitness enthusiast who had unwavering dedication and commitment to his work.
However, the pressure and the stress started taking a toll on his mental health over time. On August 2, 2018, John Beasley was last seen leaving his home in the Cove area around 3:30 pm.
His son was the first one to notice his absence when he returned home at around 4 pm. Someone informed the authorities shortly about his disappearance, and they immediately carried out the investigation.
During the search, the officials discovered his phone without the battery in the woods behind his house.
This added more mystery to the case, and the search was intensified with the involvement of helicopters and cadaver dogs. However, the authorities ruled out the possibility of foul play after discovering his phone.
Tragically, the search came to an end on August 7, 2018, when his body was discovered less than a mile from his home in an agricultural field. John Beasley had passed away after self-inflicting a gunshot wound.
The news of his death was a heavy blow to the Baytown Police Department, the community, and his family.
Lt. Steve Dorris from the department expressed the collective grief and stated they lost a brother. John Beasley’s loved ones and colleagues set up a memorial outside his office and paid their respects.
