CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — 10 juveniles and eight adults have been arrested during New Year’s Eve in Uptown, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Police said there were no major incidents during the holiday festivities and six firearms were taken.

The 10 juveniles arrested ranged in age from 10-15 years old with charges including violating the Youth Protection Ordinance, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. All parents/guardians were cited and charged with contributing to delinquency and neglect by parents and others, officials said.
CMPD said officers conducted home visits through the Juvenile Apprehension and Diversion Empowerment (JADE) Unit with previous juvenile offenders. Out of the 10 home visits, no juveniles re-offended on New Year’s Eve.
The adults arrested and their charges are:
- Murray Edwards, 42- Carrying a Concealed Weapon and Disorderly Conduct
- Rassell Young, 18- Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Resist/Delay/Obstruct and Possession of Marijuana
- Jergio Jesus Pavon-Reyes, 18- Possession of a Stolen Firearm
- Kaheem Brower, 28- Affray
- Donaven McCoy, 29- Affray
- Dashawn Douglas, 29- Carrying a Concealed Weapon
- Treshawn Goff, 27- Carrying a Concealed Weapon
- Genesis Roland, 19- Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Resist/Delay/Obstruct and Possession of Marijuana
